Hi,

I see in the FAQ section, a question regarding the high speed outputs on 5th, 6th axis was asked - which you indicate is not supported yet.

When do you expect to implement this? I plan on getting the SS + C23 & Gecko 320's for a mini full 5 axis high speed trunion style machine, possibly using a gantry for Y-axis. I will need to push this card to it's limits... when do you expect to implement the high-speed upgrade?

I bought the C11 board over a year ago ... (Dan)

I bought the C11 board over a year ago and I am finally getting around to using it in a router rebuild.

Does the analog output reset the voltage back to 0 or is there a way to reset the analog voltage back to zero?

Or is the control software required to remember the previous "S command setting", so that when making a new setting it will apply only the amount of "steps", plus or minus, to adjust the current setting to the desired setting?

I have the Ability Systems "G-Code controller" and my understanding, is that it was designed so that the "G Code Controller" software resets the "dial" with each S command, then always counts up to the desired setting.

Maybe there is a way I can use a lead in command on the software side to jam the analog output to its zero setting with each S command, then allow the pulses that follow the lead-in command(s) to count up to
the desired setting each time.

I'm not sure what effect this would have at the spindle if trying to adjust between speeds during a part program.

I'm told G Code Controller uses this strategy to reduce the chances that the software would lose synchronization with the speed control, since it synchronizes to the zero setting with each S command.

I am hoping I can find a way to make these 2 products work together.

Thank you.

Dan

Really new and really lost
I am setting up a DYI CNC machine. I have settled on the C11 relay board. This is from a recommendation from a friend who works in the electronic field.I am going to use 396oz. 3.0A 6.8mh stepper motors. Is there any other hardware I will need to use in the setup?
Will the USB cable supply a constant 2amps to the board?
Will there be a instructions showing the wiring setup for the stepper motors?
As the motors I have a Phase A and Phase B.
As I am lost at the electronic level, but am good at Cadsoftware, following instructions and Plans.
Thanks

The unit has 3 pins on the left side labeled 1, 2, and 3, and five on the other labeled 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. Pretty useless numbering system, no? Maybe that's why they discontinued it? :D

The relay itself still seems fine as it works ok on the DC pin 1. But the AC terminals are always 'live'.

Is there somthing else on the board that could be causing this problem?

Hi I purchased one of your C11 BOBs last year from a mate that didn't require it, anyway I don't quite understand all this electricky stuff I am aware that the board needs to be powered on 12v volts 5v on one side and the computer on the other, I was thinking about using a spare computer power supply that I have to run power for 12v/5v side of the board will that be fine.

The think I guess I don't understand is the amps side of things the computer power supply can put out on the 5v min .2a and max 50a the 12v is Min .2a Max 20a

Does the Cll BOB only pull the required amps it needs?

Sorry I hope I haven't confused you I just don't want to let that that magic smoke out when I power it up :-).

Thanks in advance Willy

I have a C19 Frequency Converter that I wont to use with a 230V 50Hz 1800watt router connected to Mach3. I have tested the C19 with a pot connected to the analogue input and a signal generator connected to the pulse input for both frequency and PWM, these all seem to work fine but the minimum speed seems to be around 60-70% full speed not 30% as advertised, is there a resistor on the board that can be changed to set this? I noted that if the pot was left connected when using one of the other control methods the pot would also control the speed, is this expected?

When I connect the C19 to Mach3 and set this up as per the instructions for PWM there seems to be no or very little speed control. I can make it work a little better with frequency control when Mach3 is setup as per the C6 instructions.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Arturo, I bought a c11g from you in ... (Gary Corlew)

Hi Arturo,
I bought a c11g from you in the beginning of December, I am just now getting to hooking it up. The first thing I noticed was when I took it out of the bubble wrap it did not have the jumper for setting the +5 or ground, I wasn't concerned with that because I knew I could pull +5 from the board for my gecko 320's. But I have other problems with it and things that seem strange compared the other c11 I have from you that is about two or three years old. First I plugged in the parallel cable the charge pump light started blinking and the outputs(pins 1-9) were also blinking, I have never seen that happen to my older card. I then plugged in the power supplies to it(5 & 12 volt) and the blinking stopped, I also plugged in my separate supply(12 volt) for the analog output. I set up everything as it says to in the manual so I could get my analog output working I put in s3000m3 in mdi(mach3) and tested the output and there was no voltage. I ended up trying different pins and it is now putting out some voltage with it set at pin 9 although very little , I turned the pot both ways the max I could get out of it was 2.53 volts. I then upped the pulse width to 5 with very little change I think it went up to about 2.55, I have upped it to 9 and the most I could get out of it was 2.58 volts needless to say it is not enough to run my VFD. I tried everything I could possibly think of to get it working. I then tried my other board(c11 multifunction) and I was able to make it work putting out 8 volts. I am out of ideas to try do you have any? or should I send it back for you to look at?

I just purchased a Chinese made CNC router and want to change it from a pendant controlled machine to a Mach 3 Controlled machine. I purchased the C11G board and would like to know if anyone can help me with setting things up properly.
I can handle the mechanical end of things but have too many questions with the electrical end.

Thanks.

home switches and limit switches.

I will be using mach3 software and know that the limit switches can all be as one connected together as mach3 does not care what switch is hit the single is to stop.

but on home switches i need to find out how to connect more then one.

with the c1g board it has 5 imputs so i would assume that the way i will be connecting would be port 10 used for e-stop, port 11 used for limit and 12,13 & 15 will be used for home switches.

does this sound rught?

I am having troubles with my limit switches. Could you please help me?
I haven't had any trouble with them until now that I have hooked up my spindle, so I am sure the problem is noise from the VFD or spindle. My limit switches are sheilded cable, with the sheild going to ground at one end. I am running limits in series and home in series, so when 1 of the switches is broken, it goes active low. So now when I run my table, now that I have the router running, I get random messages telling me that a limit switch has been activated when none of the switches are being activated.
How could I try to fix this?
Cheers
