RSD110-6 offers industrial
microstepping performance at the price of many hobby drives which
require you to buy a DC power supply, heatsink and fan. All of this
is integrated with each drive, reducing component cost and
simplifying installation.
Features:
-
AC line-powered (No power supply required)

Warning: This device
produces lethal electrical current. By purchasing this drive you
agree that Rex Machine Industries is not liable for injury or
peoperty damage resulting from use of this drive.
Application Note: Due to the high voltage
applied to the motor's windings, many steppers need to be
configured in series as they may overheat in parallel. This brings
up the question: "Am I getting less upper speed torque by
configuring in series?" This is not a parallel vs. series issue,
but a voltage vs. inductance issue. In other words, upper speed
torque only in series when there is insufficient voltage to
overcome the stepper's inductance as with DC powered drives. This
is not the case when 110-120VAC is rectified within the drive to
150-160VDC. The result is excellent, smooth performance throughout
the speed range.
